If I Got an Invite to a LB Baby Shower…

Ok, so Larry Birkhead (LB) has been spending his spare time prepping a nursery for D-Lynn…very nice. Since this is baby #1 (that I know of) for LB, it would only be right that any BFF’s that he may have throw him a baby shower. If I were invited to this baby shower, the following would be included in my MomAppeal package of well wishes:

Pat the Bunny, by Dorothy Kunhardt. This book is simple and classic. I had it as a kid, and honestly I have never encountered a child that didn’t love this book. I’m a little nostalgic because this is a Golden Book, and my grandfather was a pressmen at the company that produced GB’s back in the day. But regardless, this is a must have and a must give in the gift giving department. Oh, and a bit of advice, this is one item you should keep (and not return) duplicates of…because bunny’s fur gets GROSS over time…pet daily by a toddler…you can imagine.

Pat the Bunny is available on Amazon for $9.99.

The other must have/must give is any and all cds in the collection Rockabye Baby. This is soft, elevator style renditions of mom and dad’s (and gram and gramp’s) fav groups. Currently available: Renditions of Metallica, U2, Radiohead, The Beatles, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Cure, Coldplay, Bob Marley, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, The Eagles, No Doubt, The Beach Boys, Tool, Queens of The Stone Age, The Ramones, and the Pixies. Each artist has their own cd (wouldn’t a mix be great?), and the MomAppeal seal goes on the Coldplay and Radiohead cds for sure (those are the two in our collection and we are wearing them out!).

Rockabye Baby cds are available at Baby Rock Records and Amazon.

And a note to LB, no thank you note required…I know it’s a hectic time!
